About Camperdown Street

At 25 Camperdown Street in Aldgate on the city fringe we carried out a full CAT A refurbishment of an existing 1980's brick building.

The existing building entrance was small, dark and underwhelming and this was addressed through doubling the size of the reception and introducing a new full width glazed entrance with sliding glass double doors. The new entrance features a projecting canopy with galvanised metal detailing and recessed LED lighting to improve both its daytime and night time presence.

The existing WC's were fully refurbished along with core areas. 20,000ft2 of office space was refurbished to CAT A standard over four floors including the introduction of a raised access floor.

Camperdown Street itself had fallen into a poor state of repair. As part of the project and in conjunction with the council the road and pavements were renewed and new lighting introduced. With the new building entrance adding active frontage this transformed what was a little used street.
