About Cavendish House

Cavendish House was a 1980s research and development building clad in profiled metal sheet. Our brief was to transform the external appearance whilst creating a modern efficient office space.

The building is extended with a new core, entrance structure and new external cladding. 6,000ft2 has been added over two floors taking the building to 22,000 sq. ft. The design has incorporated fully glazed curtain walling and locally sourced brickwork to create a contrast of materials and textures.

The building features include a double height entrance pavilion with a floating stair, a roof terrace over the new extension and projecting glazed bay windows at each end of the building. Internally the office spaces have been fitted out to BCO standards and the building has achieved a BREEAM rating of Very Good.
