About Charing Cross

Retail space on the ground floor will be improved with active shopfronts onto Charing Cross Road. A new, larger core will be constructed while at ground and basement level the nightclub areas will remain. Every office floor, except the first, will have a terrace and on the roof there will be a communal terrace, providing views over Charing Cross Road and the West End.

The existing building is considered very unattractive and our design improves upon the existing façade, providing a positive contribution to the Soho Conservation Area. We have explored the relationship between the façades of the existing and new floors through shared architectural details and materials.

The building has been designed to respond to the existing and emerging townscape of Charing Cross Road. It will be a high-quality building of lasting value, targeting BREEAM Excellent.
