About Cottam House

Cottam House is a three storey, locally listed, Victorian warehouse building, which sits opposite Kings Cross Station on York Way. The building has a long history of industrial and warehouse use associated with the King’s Cross area and forms the north-west corner of the Regent Quarter, which transformed the area in 2006 as part of a heritage-led regeneration scheme.

The building was converted into offices in 2007, with an extensive internal refurbishment, including a new core, windows and some areas of new structure. The original timber roof trusses were carefully restored and exposed at second floor.

We are working with the tenant’s fit out designers Untold to create a unique innovation hub for the Hong Kong based company Fabrica. The building will support “techstyle” start-up companies with co-working space, a lab with state-of-the-art machinery and equipment for experimentation and prototyping, a multi-functional space for events and a ground floor display area which will showcase the innovative Garment-to-Garment Recycle System.

Our refurbishment of the building involves a new glass entrance to the front entrance, reconfiguration of the common parts, and the infill of a rear recess at ground floor. There is a new stepped terrace to the rear with concealed platform lift, new cycle storage and all services.
